Review:
Is it sacrilege to find flaws in Nitin? Maybe; though what it certainly is is disappointment.
To be fair, if this was anybody else's album it would be getting a rave review. With Nitin the expectations are so high that any minor flaw works against him. Even if the biggest blemish of it all is the missing message.
These songs seem to be a disparate mix of productions done at different space and times causing the effect of a multi-artist mix (which in itself is a testament to Nitin's talent). In that disparity, there are some definite gems that shine through; gems that are as awe inspiring as any of Nitin's original works.
However, the presence of a few tracks that seem to have been run through a cookie cutter and churned out to fill space just causes a reviewer to throw caution to the wind. I am calling our pioneer out and hoping to remind him that he might be slipping. Despite the fact that, genre's bend and blend flawlessly tracks such as Dead Man (where the same exact english sample repeats over and over) and random interlude-ish things like Mirage just take away from the flow that Nitin usually brings.
Nitin has finally revealed his humanity; here is one album which you can't play all he way through. However, have the mighty fallen? Most certainly not; or at least, lets hope not.
