Lo. Def Pressure by Bill Laswell
Tracks:
- Shyvamythscience
- Black Ice
Review:
Take away the base, and leave the drums behind. Bill Laswell knows how that feels. Asian DrumScapes is the best way to put a genre to this album. An ethereal combination of South Asian Classical tabla with a dash of Enviornmental Soundscapes.
The album only has two tracks; however, each is 22 minutes long. How does one keep a song going that long? you ask; with pure talent. This music is New Age Classical at its best. For example: seven minutes into the second song you want to dance but fourteen minutes into it, you are shaking your head and wondering if its the same song. Even after that, the songs retain a oneness throughout. Contrast and lack there of melded somehow, to become one. Best $12.99 I spent.
